The authority of overcomers

The authority of overcomers

Remember this story of the miracle that Jesus did?

Mark 4:36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.

37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?

39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?

And at another time, Jesus told his followers this:

John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

With that in mind, here is a 4th of July report by our good friend, Todd, on what happened as they sat awaiting fireworks.

So we are at the fireworks last night and a tornado comes right out of the sky. See the attached photo. There was a very large cloud overhead and we are just sitting there watching this thing develop. Sun was shining, and there is a tornado!

I watched it form for maybe 15 minutes and then suddenly I remembered that maybe I should pray. I rebuked it and it quickly disappeared (15 seconds). Quite a freak event. Sirens were blowing and people were all standing there watching this thing.

It has been on my heart that we would begin to see the authority come on the overcomers any day now. This is my county here, and there has been tornado after tornado come at us this year. One day I rebuked the storm and it veered north, and three tornados hit the city in the next county. Well, it doesn’t get any more obvious than this now, does it? Directly below the funnel is the west edge of Seymour. My house is to the right edge of the photo, about three or four miles at most. What is really weird is I had no emotion at all. I knew before I prayed that when I did, it would leave. I waited for a minute or so and it grew in size, so that is when I prayed. Instantly it started to lift and dissipate. It never strengthened. The cloud, however, took a weird right turn and moved south, southwest and came right over our heads!

Afterwards this little boy came and was telling us all about it. He said he could tell it was an F2. LOL. He said there were more coming, so I said to him, “Let’s pray and make them go away.” He said, “Don’t do that ! I am a storm chaser and I want them to come.” I thought to myself there is no greater faith. He understood that prayer has power over the wind…. the faith of a little child.
